Current Opportunities

Front Desk Agent

Job Type: Permanent, Full time

Key Requirements:
-Applicants should have strong interpersonal and administrative skills
-General knowledge of the Town of Banff and its surroundings
-Processing cash and credit payments
-Flexible work schedule
-Criminal Record Check
-Proper phone etiquette
-Familiarity with property management systems a plus
-Ability to complete light maintenance duties if needed
-Organised and detail-oriented

Duties:
– Register and process guests and their assigned rooms
-Accommodate guest requests efficiently and professionally
-Collect payment for room charges and other fees
-Make and confirm reservations
-Provide local information, and assist with tour bookings
-Various clerical tasks

Sales and Marketing Manager

Job Type: Permanent, Full time

Key Requirements:
-A minimum of one years of Sales and Marketing experience
-Previous hotel experience is an asset
-Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)
-Excellent computer skills (word, excel, outlook. Programs like illustrator would be an asset but not required)
-Ability to work independently or as part of a team
-Must be a self- starter
-Good command of English language a must

Duties:

-Build and maintain solid relationships with new and existing clients
-Contract annual, seasonal FIT and Group agreements
– Update Sales Forecasts weekly and monitor competitiveness within the market to ensure we meet/exceed our revenue targets
– Develop monthly and annual sales reports that outline hotel’s performance relative to the market and market conditions
– Arrange and conduct regular site visits and FAM tour
– Update, maintain, and grow hotel’s online presence via the hotel’s website, social channels like twitter, Facebook, and Instagram etc.
– Respond to guest reviews online (on sites such as: Trip Advisor, Google, Expedia, and Booking.com)
– Source and build business cases for new initiatives and tools that will help the hotel exceed our targets and be more efficient
– Attend travel trade shows occasionally (2-3 times per year)
– Assist with other hotel duties as needed
